A short game made in 49 hours for HunJam 2023. The theme was "Growth".

Controls:

  • Space for everything (expect switching between choices, we didn't have time left for that so just use the Arrow keys)

Modifiers (extra challenges during the Jam):

  • Analyser (The game analyses and judges the Player)
  • Spaced (The game can be played with one button)
  • Black & White (The game only uses two colours)

Well that was a lot of fun and only slightly disturbing! :)

Really nicely done guys, I especially loved the music.

Glad you liked it, thanks!

Hey guys! I’m having some trouble running this. The error message that pops up is:

ALERT! Error: Couldn’t load project data at path “.”. Is the .pck file missing? If you’ve renamed the executable, the associated .pck file should also be renamed to match the executable’s name (without the extension).

Can I rename the downloaded binary to something else to make it work?

Hi! Is it still the case? I just downloaded and ran the game after extracting the .zip, I also see the pck file next to the exe.

Edit: Oh I see Daniel just replied, too. I might have downloaded the new version already. Btw thanks for reaching out!

Hey, thanks for the heads up! I recompressed and reuploaded the executables. I tested it on one different computer than mine, and it seems to be running it okay. Let me know if the problem persists, but hopefully, it won't.

Thanks guys! Is it possible that only the .exe was uploaded when I tried to download it this morning..? Either that or I screwed something up :)

Anyway, the new zipped version included the .pck as well and it seems to start fine now. I’m gonna play it tonight, thanks! :)

I have to be honest, your analysis of the situation is 100% correct. I forgot to include .pck file in the zip the first time around. To be fair, it was our first time publishing a game made in Godot, so mistakes like these were almost inevitable.

Great! Oh and I'm also going to give Tower Offense 2000 a shot soon, just had some things to attend to :P
